The FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) is financial services firms and financial markets in the UK is warning the public of an emerging trend of scam brokers, that use social media such as FB, and IG that offer attractive bonuses with easy and fast returns to get new clients.
The so-called get-rich-quick schemes are advertised on FB, WhatsApp, Twitter, and IG (means most popular social media), without have their any kind of identity, even doesn't exist any website. Most of them use the identities of famous persons.
This week the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has been updated tow new INSTAGRAM social profiles, @chloefxtrades, and @chloehenx where they offer their signals to scam people.
The regulator just flagged the two accounts but didn't take action on this. They given a strong warnning to be awer from them and made it down.
"The British authorities have identified 350 social media scammers between October 2019 and February 2020, according to the Action Fraud team’s website of London police. These fraudsters have made people lose more than $10,000."
