Chipmaker Qualcomm Inc is campaigning the U.S. government to disavow limitations discounted of segments to Huawei Innovations Co after the Chinese organization was boycotted by the US, The Money Road Diary investigated Saturday.
Qualcomm is campaigning to offer chips to Huawei that the Chinese organization would remember for its 5G telephones, as indicated by the report, refering to an introduction by Qualcomm.
With these limitations, the U.S. has given Qualcomm's unfamiliar rivals a market worth as much as $8 billion every year, the report said.
Qualcomm didn't promptly answer to a Reuter's demand for input.
The organization settled a permitting debate with Huawei a month ago, which will pay Qualcomm a makeup for lost time installment of $1.8 billion in the financial final quarter.
