Shopify Inc. is a Canadian multinational e-commerce company headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario. It is also the name of its proprietary E-Commerce platform for online stores and retail point-of-sale systems.

Libra is a permissioned blockchain digital currency proposed by the American social media company Facebook, Inc. The currency and network do not yet exist, and only a rudimentary experimental code has been released. The launch is planned to be in 2020.
The Shopify eCommerce company is the first challenging company that joins the project with big organization/company including the Visa & MasterCard, eBay PayPal. But most recently the Vodafone company (multinational telecommunications company) left the Libra Association after got warned by the EU finance ministers, European Central Bank and the Bank of England.
Tobi Lutke CEO of Shopify made a Twit on 21st February
“Shopify spends a lot of time thinking about how to make commerce better in parts of the world where money and banking could be far better. That’s why we decided to become a member of the Libra Association”.
Also, he said "we are going to move hardly for the future to make something better and changes.
Currently, the Libra Association has 21 members. And the Shopify joins can make a good change.
